Your Habits Define You. Day #2 of My 40 Day Yoga Challenge

'Watch your thoughts for they become words. Watch your words for they become actions. Watch your actions for they become habits. Watch your habits for they become your character. Watch your character for it becomes your destiny."

Today is the second day of Fall and also Day #2 of my 40 Day Kriya practice.

What is a kriya you migth ask.

A kriya is a set of specific postures, breath and sound that work toward a specific outcome. Practicing a kriya initiates a sequence of physical and mental changes that affect the body mind and spirit simultaneously.

Why 40 days?

Well, you know how we say "you are what you eat?"

In the yogic sciences, there's another saying "Your habits define you."

Problems in life come from our habits.

If you practice a set of specific postures, breathing techniques, and mantras, you receive a wonderful benefit. But if you want to permanently change your habits, you need to practice a particular kriya or mantra every single day for the same amount of time.

If you practice every day for 40 days straight, without any days missed, this will break any negative habits that block you from the expansion possible.

If you practice for 90 days straight, this will establish a new habit in your conscious and subconscious minds based on the effect of the specific kriya or mantra. This will change you in a very deep way.

If you practice for 120 days straight this will confirm the new habit of consciousness created by the Kriya or mantra. The positive benefits of the kriya will get integrated permanently into your psyche.

A habit is a subconscious chain reaction between the mind, the glandular system and the nervous system.

We develop our habits at a very young age and some of them serve us and others do not. By doing kriyas for 40,, 90, 120, 1000 days you can rewire that chain reaction.

What habits do you want to shift?? Please, share in the comment section below.
